West Coast Waves Therapy Terms & Conditions
Welcome to West Coast Waves Therapy. By accessing or using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Services
West Coast Waves Therapy offers individual, couple, and family psychotherapy to clients seeking support for mental health and personal growth. All services are delivered in accordance with the ethical standards of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).
2. Confidentiality
All client information is confidential and will not be disclosed without your written consent, except where required by law. This includes situations involving risk of harm to self or others, suspected abuse or neglect, or court orders/subpoenas.
3. Appointments & Cancellations
Each session is 50 minutes unless otherwise agreed upon. Clients are required to provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Missed appointments or late cancellations will be charged the full session fee.
4. Fees & Payment
Fees are communicated prior to the first session. Payment is due at the time of service and can be made via e-transfer, credit card, or other accepted methods. Receipts are provided for insurance or personal records. Please note that West Coast Waves Therapy does not direct bill to insurance providers.
5. Emergency Services
West Coast Waves Therapy is not a crisis service provider. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact a crisis line such as 1-800-SUICIDE.
6. Consent
By engaging in services, you acknowledge and consent to participate in psychotherapy under the terms outlined in this document. Informed consent is reviewed and signed during the intake process.
7. Changes to Terms
These terms and conditions may be updated occasionally to reflect practice or policy changes. Clients will be informed of any significant updates.
